How to Market Your Business on a Budget

If you’re a small business owner you’ll know that managing business finances can be pretty tricky. Sometimes it might seem impossible to make your marketing budget stretch to meet all of your needs. However, if you’re trying to find a great marketing strategy, remember that you don’t always have to spend tons of money to get good results. Here is how you can market your business on a budget.

Use Organic Social Media

First off, one great way to market on a budget is by using organic social media.

Entrepreneurs always ask me whether they should focus on organic or paid social media – and I say both (plus more … you need a strategic combination of organic, paid, and earned media) but when you focus on each, and to what extent, will vary.

There are lots of different ways to use social media to bring some exposure to your business. There are millions of social media users that spend hours each day scrolling. If you use social media to your advantage, you can expose thousands, or even millions of people to your business and the great products or services that you offer. Recently, short videos, such as Tik Tok videos or Instagram Reels have been going viral, helping small businesses to blow up. Make sure that you get out of your comfort zone and try something new as you’re advertising with social media.

Brand Your Vehicles

Another great way to market your business on a budget is by branding your business vehicles. A branded vehicle can be a mobile billboard that will get your brand more recognition. This can be particularly beneficial if you have a locally owned business, because many people will be exposed to your business as they see your vehicles driving around town. Even if you own an online shop, a branded car vehicle can help spark some curiosity in your fellow drivers, and can get you a lot of online exposure.

Create Written Content

Finally, another way to advertise your business on a budget is to create written content on your website and for your social media posts. The reason why you want to use written content for your business is because it can help your website to show up when a prospect performs a search that is related to your products or services.

If you use SEO, or Search Engine Optimization to help you to choose keywords and phrases that will be popular in related searches, you’ll find that your website can get a lot of traffic.

So, if you’re worried that you can’t market on a budget, don’t give up quite yet. If you use organic social media, brand your vehicles, and create written content for your business, you’ll see that you get a significant audience boost.

Advertising creatively while staying on budget will be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make for your business.
